Pacifica Riverside Legacies, Building 7 is a two-story Type VA senior living facility designed as part of a growing multi-building campus for Pacifica Companies in Jurupa Valley, California. This 15-unit assisted living project marks a significant expansion of the Riverside Legacies master plan, and contributes to Pacifica’s larger vision of evolving its senior living portfolio toward a more contemporary and lifestyle-forward model throughout California.

Designed for aging-in-place living, the project offers an updated approach to assisted living that blends modern amenities with a warm, home-like architectural character. The building is articulated with cement board siding, stone veneer, and cement plaster, balanced with synthetic wood railings that soften the exterior and enhance the project’s residential scale. The two-story volume is designed to integrate seamlessly within the campus, while prioritizing accessibility, safety, and natural daylight throughout.

The design approach was to elevate the design language of traditional assisted living by rethinking spatial dignity, materials, and resident interaction. The floor plan is optimized for caregiver access and resident autonomy, supporting wellness and community without compromising privacy. Communal lounge areas, circulation loops, and quiet corners allow for a variety of resident experiences within a modest footprint.

As the seventh building on the campus, this addition continues to reinforce a coherent architectural identity while updating the typology to better reflect contemporary senior care standards. The site design encourages walkability, visual connection to other buildings, and an intuitive sense of place within the larger campus context.
